Introduction

Dr Vinay Sharma is a GP Partner at Prospect Medical Group with extensive experience in primary care. He moved to the UK in 2001, completed his GP training in Newcastle in 2008, and became a GP Partner at Prospect Medical Group in 2017. He has a background in general surgery and worked as a prison doctor in the North East of England for five years. He has also undertaken forensic medical examiner work with Northumbria Police. He provides care for a wide range of acute and long‑term conditions, with particular interests in men’s health, mental health, palliative care, and substance misuse.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Sharma is the Lead Finance Partner and clinical lead for palliative care and mental health. He is also involved in teaching and supervising GP registrars and medical students and is committed to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
